Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician II supports the Company’s Materials business. This role is responsible for inspection of incoming, in-process and outgoing products and other shipments to ensure conformance to quality and customer requirements. Role also supports other relevant Quality Assurance and Integrated Management System activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspection of incoming, in-process and outgoing materials and shipments to verify conformance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements, including packaging, labeling, and accompanying documentation.
Ensure inspection records, analytical results, and performance data are accurately documented and maintained in designated systems.
Support management of quality, environmental, and safety requirements using the company’s online Q‑EHS system.
Calibrate and coordinate calibration of monitoring and measurement equipment in collaboration with internal teams and third‑party service providers.
Operate, maintain, and calibrate designated product testing and inspection equipment.
Support the creation, revision, and periodic review of SOPs and work instructions to ensure alignment with operational practices, and IMS standards.
Support the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and actively participate in internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 audits.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and special projects aligned with departmental and business objectives.
Assist with training of personnel on quality processes, inspection requirements, equipment use, and applicable SOPs.
Identify, analyze, and escalate quality issues in a timely manner and support root cause analysis and resolution activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
2–5 years of experience in an industrial or technology‑driven environment
Prior quality‑related experience
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and web‑based systems.
Demonstrated strong attention to detail with a consistent track record of accurate and compliant work.
Experience with ISO 9001, continuous improvement methodologies, Lean, or Six Sigma practices is a strong plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document procedures and communicate quality expectations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risk, and support effective solutions.
